ROLE AND LOCATION

We are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to strengthen our Infrastructure Team, based in Mortágua.

The successful candidate will support the Infrastructure Department, with a strong focus on equipment inspections and calibrations. Previous experience in warehouse or logistics functions is required, as well as basic knowledge of workplace safety.

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS

Warehouse Responsibilities

  • Receiving and checking materials, verifying quantities and physical condition of goods.
  • Storage, organization and stock updates in the system (ERP/Excel), preparation of materials for projects/sites.
  • Support in loading/unloading, packaging and maintenance of warehouse cleanliness and safety.

PPE and Safety Responsibilities

  • Conduct periodic PPE inspections (visual and functional), record results and block non-compliant equipment.
  • Ensure distribution/delivery of PPE to employees, maintaining records of assignment, validity and replacements.
  • Support compliance with internal safety standards (checklists, signage, safe storage).

Equipment Calibration Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory of equipment requiring calibration (torque wrenches, measuring instruments, detectors, etc.), with dates of last and next calibration.
  • Plan and request calibrations from laboratories/suppliers, monitor deadlines and file certificates in physical and digital format.
  • Verify that equipment in use is within validity; flag and remove from service those that are out of calibration.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Previous experience in warehouse/logistics;
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety and PPE;
  • Notions of registration systems (Excel/ERP);
  • English: Minimum level – B1 (will be assessed during the recruitment process);
  • Experience with equipment management/calibration systems or ISO 9001/ISO 45001, forklift license.(plus).
