Electrician – Energy Infrastructure Projects

We are looking for experienced Electricians to join our Grid & Substations team. This role will be responsible for supporting electrical installation within energy infrastructure projects in Europe.

 

About the role

The Electrician executes electrical installation and maintenance activities, ensuring all work is performed according to technical specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Working as part of an international team, the Electrician supports the delivery of critical energy infrastructure projects that contribute to the expansion of renewable energy across Europe.

This position is, initially,  based in Germany and operates on a rotational schedule of 3 weeks working on site followed by 2 weeks off in Portugal. This is a long-term project offering stability, professional development, and international exposure.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installation and assembly activities according to project specifications.
  • Install, route, connect, and terminate electrical cables and equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Support testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards at all times.
  • Identify and report technical issues, contributing to effective problem-solving and project delivery.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial, construction, manufacturing, energy, or infrastructure environments.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications or certifications.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices and safety procedures.
  • Experience in cable installation, termination, and electrical equipment assembly.
  • Experience in substations or high-voltage projects is considered an advantage, but is not mandatory.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Intermediate English skills are mandatory.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational basis (3 weeks in Germany / 2 weeks in Portugal).
