We are excited to offer a newly established position at Muehlhan Wind Service for a Procurement Specialist within our Procurement & Mobilization Department. This is a unique opportunity to take the lead on strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management, and procurement process development — supporting our operations globally, across the wind industry.

As Procurement Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring we work with the right suppliers, under the right conditions, and with a continuous focus on cost optimization and operational excellence.
Role based in Portugal, Mortágua or Porto office.
The role
This new role offers the opportunity to build and evolve sourcing practices across categories and projects. You will be responsible for facilitating and executing tenders, qualifying suppliers, developing procurement procedures and policies, and supporting digitalization efforts within procurement.
You will report to the Head of Procurement & Mobilization and work closely with Category Managers, operational buyers, and cross-functional teams such as HSEQ, Operations, and Logistics across our international organization.
Key responsibilities
· Facilitate and execute tenders and supplier selections across categories
· Lead supplier qualification and onboarding processes
· Develop and implement procurement procedures and policies
· Support the development and implementation of digital procurement tools
· Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favourable commercial terms
· Drive strategic procurement projects and initiatives
· Analyze spend data and market trends to identify opportunities
· Ensure compliance with procurement standards and governance
· Contribute to cost optimization and continuous improvement.
Skills, abilities, and knowledge:

Skills, abilities, and knowledge:
· Proven experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management (ideally 4–5 years at a strategic level)
· Strong analytical skills and experience with spend analysis and market research
· Solid understanding of tendering processes and contract negotiation
· Experience with supplier qualification and performance management
· Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
· Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement tools
· English Level B2 (minimum; will be assessed during the recruitment process); Other languages are a plus
· Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field preferred
