As Mobility Tax Manager, you will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer of Muehlhan Wind Service and will be part of the Legal Affairs function, working closely with colleagues from Legal, Compliance, Payroll, Sales and other departments in supporting the operational teams.

About the Role

You will play a key role in supporting the organization’s cross-border workforce activities, ensuring that mobility-related tax, social security and compliance matters are properly planned and managed.

Given Muehlhan Wind Service’s international footprint, with offices and operations across multiple countries and regions, the need for a specialized function capable of managing mobility taxation and workforce compliance across jurisdictions is increasingly important.

In this role, you will help structure and support the company’s global workforce mobility framework, providing guidance on tax compliance, social security obligations and cross-border working models, while acting as a key support partner to Operations and Sales.

This is a full-time position based in one of our offices in Portugal (Porto or Mortágua).

 

Your Key Responsibilities

As Mobility Tax Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide business support and expert guidance on mobility taxation matters, particularly regarding:

  • Personal income taxation
  • Social security obligations
  • Tax compliance related to cross-border workforce activities

You will collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders. Your main focus areas will include:

  • Investigating, planning and monitoring cross-border workforce models, ensuring compliance with tax, social security, payroll and regulatory requirements.
  • Supporting the development and use of cost-calculator tools used by Operations and Sales to:
    • Ensure employees are correctly remunerated.
    • Guarantee cross-border obligations are respected.
    • Provide accurate labor cost projections for projects.
    • Enable Sales teams to price services appropriately.
  • Providing hands-on support to Sales and Operations when proposing workforce models and calculating the cost implications of different scenarios.
  • Working with Compliance and the Corporate Tax team to assess and manage personal income tax related to permanent establishments (PE).
  • Supporting the integration of newly acquired companies, ensuring mobility tax services are consistently implemented across new entities.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Have a background in Law, Finance or a related field.
  • Possess several years of experience in mobility taxation and global compliance.
  • Be self-driven, structured and capable of working independently.
  • Be comfortable handling complex information and translating it into practical, workable solutions.
  • Be able to communicate complex tax matters clearly to non-specialists.
  • Have strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Be comfortable working in a growing and evolving organization, with the opportunities and challenges that come with it.

Preferred Qualifications

It will be considered an advantage if you:

  • Are approachable, pragmatic and collaborative.
  • Have previous experience in the renewables or energy sector, or similar industries.
  • Have worked in an international project-based organization or in companies supporting global project operations.
